Game Components

This video just gives a quick glance and what's in the box and shares some ideas on how to use what's in the box.
When you open Legends of Rakasa: Fordra, you will see it is packed full of game components. Players want to look at these components as tools for framing an adventure. Not all components are used to create every adventure. Some of the most exciting and challenging quests may only use a few components. The Introductory Chapters were designed to show you how many components can be combined and used in very different ways to create unique gaming experiences every time you play. |
Game Layout

In this instructional video, the contents of Legends of Rakasa: Fordra are laid out in the most commonly used arrangement. Players will want to arrange their game layout to fit whatever game type they are playing. The general idea is to put the most commonly used items by all players in the center of the play area.

Rakmin Mini Game

Every epic RPG in the video gaming world has a mini game. We like that design. Rakmin is Rakasa's mini game.
Rakmin is a pub game played in the world of Rakasa. In the game Legends of Rakasa, Rakmin puzzles are used to determine the success of actions ranging from picking a lock to finding a hidden object. This video introduces the basics of playing Rakmin. An example of the first puzzle in the Introductory Chapters is also played through. |
Chapter One: Proving Worth

This is the longest video in the video instructions series. It covers the all of the basics of game play. We play through Chapter One live and explain all mechanics and decisions we make as we play. This video of Chapter One introduces players to the following:
Player Turn
Weapon Skills Helping Others When comparing to the content of the instruction manual, you will notice we skipped Crafting Priority. This element of gameplay is only used in competitive play and will be introduced in full when we record our gameplay videos with a focus on competitive play. |
Chapter Two: Chief's Request

In this video, we run through Chapter 2 of the Introductory Chapters. We time-lapse through portions of the gameplay video that don't introduce new game mechanics. Chapter 2 introduces players to boost tokens, playing Rakmin in a team setting, and different methods to setup starting gear.
