Rakmin is a pub game played in Rakasa and is used Legends of Rakasa to determine the success of actions like searching and unlocking. It's a math puzzle game using small number tiles and dice.
Some people love math puzzle games, some people don't. Some people have been seen playing Rakmin games completely separate from all other box content. Some people while playing skip Rakmin altogether. The wonderful thing about Rakasa is if playing math puzzle games isn't your idea of fun, like other components, Rakmin can be removed or altered to fit what you want. Example Alterations In Chapter 1 of the introductory chapters, players are attempting to unlock a chest. Each player is given a small Rakmin puzzle. Once solved, they have successfully picked the lock on the chest. There are all sorts of ways to create an alternative to using Rakmin. For Young Kids: With young children, just a dice roll with progressive success odds can replace Rakmin. Another Alternative: A more popular alternative in Chapter 1 is to allow people to break the lock. Players can solve as much of their Rakmin puzzle as they want and break the chest open at any point. At the end of the chapter, when debts are paid (see chapter 1 for full story), any one who broke into their chest instead of picking the lock will pay to repair the chest (100 doru per unused Rakmin tile). |
